Located right next to the bustling Jalan Raya Ubud is peaceful, around 2 KM long, Campuhan Ridge Walk.
It is one of the most amazing and must-visit places when you plan your trip to Ubud town.
I visited Campuhan Ridge Walk on my fourth and last day of Ubud exploration. In this guide to Campuhan Ridge Walk, I’m going to tell you everything you need to know. So, let’s get started.
About Campuhan Ridge Walk
Surrounded by pristine rice fields, Campuhan Ridge Walk is a short hike in Ubud and attracts a large number of tourists from around the globe.
Though the Campuhan Ridge Walk is open throughout the day, I would suggest going early in the day or late in the evening to avoid the larger crowds and explore the tranquility of the location.
Campuhan Ridge Walk is not far from the Central Ubud and hence, witnessing the sunrise can be a good way to start your day.
Location of Campuhan Ridge Walk
Though the ridge walk is located in the central Ubud, finding the location might be a little tricky. The reason being, it does not start right from the Jalan Raya Ubud.

How To Reach Campuhan Ridge Walk?
If you’re staying somewhere near the Central Ubud, Campuhan Ridge Walk is just a small walk away. However, if you’re coming from out of the Ubud, you might want to read the below-mentioned way:
Coming from outside of Ubud:
If you’re traveling from outside of Ubud, it is best to rent a scooter to reach Campuhan Ridge Walk. Renting a scooter in Bali is one of the cheapest and most comfortable ways to get around various places.
Talking about the price to rent a scooter in Bali, you can get a scooter for full-day at the price of around $3 with a helmet.
Moreover, renting a bike/scooter gives you the absolute freedom to roam around the places at your pace.
However, if you’re not comfortable riding a scooter, you can also rent a private car from your location to reach Campuhan Ridge Walk. Renting a car allows you to relax whilst your driver takes care of everything.
Going from Central Ubud:
Once you’ve rented the scooter or walking through the central part of Ubud, reach to the Warwick IBAH Luxury Villas and Spas.
Upon reaching the entrance of the villas, on the left-hand side, there is a split of the roads, which leads you to Campuhan Ridge Walk.
If you’re coming on a scooter, you can go down a little on this road, and again on the left side, there’s a small parking lot where you can park it.
After a few hundred meters, there’s again a small split with the board, saying – This way Trekking Campuhan Ridge Walk to Karsa Cafe 2 KM.
From here, there’s a narrow path that passes through the eastern walls of the Pura Gunung Lebah Temple complex, and after walking for a few hundred meters, you will reach the start of Campuhan Ridge Walk.
The Campuhan Ridge Walk
Once you’re at the start of the Campuhan Ridge Walk, the view widens up and lets you behold the green and pristine beauty of large palm trees and rice fields.
The path goes all the way through the areas of small shops and restaurants, which finally leads to the Karsa Cafe on the other side.
To complete the Campuhan Ridge Walk, it might easily take around 2-hours for you. However, it is not mandatory to walk through the complete ridge and can make your trip as long or as short as you want.
I recommend at least spending 45-minutes to 1-hour at this amazing place.
If you’re going to Campuhan Ridge Walk in the afternoon, PLEASE do carry a water bottle with you as it might get pretty hot at times, making you feel dehydrated and tired.
To make the most of the place, please try going early in the morning as the place is almost empty, giving you the complete path to you. Moreover, beholding the sunrise from Campuhan Ridge Walk might be one of the most beautiful sunrises of your life.
